Paparoa Track is a Great Walk — all huts must be booked in advance through the DOC website. There is no first-come-first-served option. Huts fill up weeks to months in advance during peak season (Nov – Apr), so book as early as possible.

When should I book Paparoa Track?↓

Can I do Paparoa Track in fewer nights?↓
The standard itinerary is 2 nights, but some trampers skip huts to do it faster. Check with DOC before booking as some Great Walk huts require consecutive-night bookings and not all huts may be available for single nights.
